Hello Everyone, I am thrilled and excited to be able to bring to Mandurah and surrounding areas the GAPS program. The term GAPS, abbreviated from Gut and Psychology Syndrome was created by Dr Natasha Campbell-McBride MD, MMedSci (Neurology), MMedSci (Human Nutrition) in 2004 after working with hundreds of children and adults with neurological and psychiatric conditions, such as autism spectrum disorders, ADD/ ADHD, schizophrenia, dyslexia, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder and other neurological and psychiatric problems.
Practicing as a Nutritional medicine Practitioner I am proud to have been chosen to become a certified GAPS practitioner by Dr Natasha Campbell- McBride. I am also a trained RBTI analyst which gives me an edge in detecting electrobiochemical imbalances in the body to speed up your recovery. I am passionate about health and helping others to regain theirs.

Unfortunately our family shares these statistics, having an autistic child 20 years ago. It was difficult to diagnose in the beginning, as there was so many unrelated issues occurring. At 4 we took him to the Melbourne’s Children’s Hospital and discovered through assessments that he was autistic. I still remember those words ringing in my ears. As you can imagine this was a huge shock and the end of a life I dreamed he would have had. I new deep down there was an underlying biochemical issue but was not aware of how to treat it. After this I took him to a health practitioner who suggested to take him off wheat. I did this and it was the first time he slept through the night in 4 1/2 years. This was just the beginning of my journey into the world of treating autism. Tumultuous years followed trying to find answers and at 13 years old I still felt my son looked unwell. A good doctor decided to do some blood tests where we discovered he had an autoimmune disorder of the liver. Mothers instincts are always correct,! I just wish we had found out earlier.
Our journey is still ongoing, but knowing the answers makes it so much easier. Has given me a passion to help other families along a healing journey of their own. What used to be hopeless now has a positive outcome. Unfortunately the medical profession has no answers for this condition.
In my late teens I felt led to do my nurses training but always having that desire to help people get well I began to become despondent with my training as so much revolved around medical drugs and surgery and so many died. From there I new it wasn’t the path for me so leaving nursing I looked for something more fulfilling. After having five children, I decided it was time to fulfill my desire to become a natural health practitioner not only for my own fulfillment but to help my son and others with autism.
Having a wealth of life experience behind me, I am passionate to help adults as well as children overcome all neurological and psychiatric conditions naturally.
Yes there is a hope but first we have to unlearn what we have been taught as healthy, and start looking at contemporary scientific research supported by traditional wisdom.
It’s not until the uprising of so many serious disorders have we had to stop and reevaluate what’s gone wrong. The intelligent parents of autistic children simply wont give up until they find solutions. Of course finding a solution requires understanding the underlying cause. To answer this questions we have to look at one factor, which unites all, the DIGESTIVE system, the seat of all disease. This is the key to your child’s mental and immune development as we shall discuss further on.
